The lion population in Africa has been devastated over the past century. In the 1940s it is estimated there were 450,000 lions across the continent. Today there may be as few as 20,000 in all of Africa. Lions have disappeared from 83% of their historical range on the continent.
We have focused our efforts to help save Africa's endangered Lions by donating 10% of profits to Lion conservation. Donations are made to the Wildlife Conservation Network, where the full donation goes directly to the Niassa Lion Project. WCN supports many worthy projects and is rated highest among wildlife conservation charities by Charity Navigator.
